Mitzvah Mitzvah: B'nai Mitzvah Film!

When Olivia and Alex, twins of one of favorite clients, were ready to mount the bimah for their B'nai Mitzvah in New York City, we knew we had to do something special.

We decided to play off the theme of Yin Yang chosen for their celebration: from the same womb, but very different. On a shoot day in their home, we polled their friends and family with questions illustrating their uniquel characteristics and personalities. It was a fun shoot day had by all as it became the pre-party to a beautiful celebration at Gustavino's in New York City.

Enjoy!

Double Trouble! A Recent B'nai Mitzvah

We were honored to see our latest film premiere at our client's B'nai Mitzvah celebration on April 30, 2011 at Gustavino's in New York City.

It was a lavish event courtesy of event planners Leslie Price and Eyal Tessler of In Any Event who always outdo themselves. Working on the theme of Yin Yang to represent the twins complimentary oppositions, the space was decked out in black and white decor including menu design by Invitations by Ana and entertainment by Generation Events.

When the movie time came the room hushed and everyone's attention was on the large screen at the head of the room (we love BIG screens!). There were laughs, there were tears, and overall it seemed to be a great success!

Here are some pics from that night (don't mind my amateur photographs). For better photos, you can go here.

Stay tuned soon to see the actual film here soon!

TESTIMONIAL: Rock on!

We were extremely touched when we received this note from our latest Mitzvah mom whose son rocked it out with us in our most recent Bar Mitzvah film.

Our video brought the house down! I wish you were there. Standing ovation. If my videographer caught any of the reactions on film, I will send it to you. One of the dancers said it was the best video she had ever seen, and she has seen hundreds! People were sobbing at the end, I knew it was special, and I loved it, but you never know for sure until others see it for the first time. You should definitely make it go "viral"!

Thanks again, and I hope you get the chance to do it for someone else!

Aw, shucks. It was so fun to execute! We can't wait for our next one!

Mitzvah Film: Channel Your Inner Rockstar

We are so psyched to present our newest Bar Mitzvah film. This one is a real standout!

Our Bar Mitzvah boy channeled his inner rock star!
A rock star since birth, Jason's parents accumulated hours of archival home video spanning his life. What to do with these treasures? Add a little sense of humor and you've got a Behind The Music spoof video that celebrates his journey to adulthood while also providing a lighthearted, comical mood to his big day.

The cherry on top is a really cool cover of "Surrender" showing off Jason's hot moves with help from his friends as well as spreading a very important Mitzvah project message.

New Mitzvah inspiration: thirteen candles

thirteen candles

We were thrilled to learn about a new blog out in the big, bad blogging world focused on celebrating Bar & Bat Mitzvah celebrations! A sort of Style Me Pretty for the Mitzvah world, if you will.

Rewind Pictures is honored to be one of the first features on the blog featuring our recent LOVE music video for Bat Mitzvah girl, Elizabeth. See the post here.

You would be surprised to learn how little there is out there when it comes to inspiration resources for Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations. thirteen candles is a welcomed addition and we look forward to seeing beautiful features daily!

Oh and it is a family collaboration-you know how much Rewind Pictures loves that!

Hey now, you're a rock star!

Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations can get a little mundane when you are going to one or two events every weekend during your child's 13th year...especially when it comes to montages and films.

So why not mix it up and create a music video featuring your Mitzvah rock star?

Step 1 in the process: the film shoot.

This past weekend, Mitzvah boy Jason proved he was a true rock star with the moves to match!

We all had a great time and we can't wait to bring it into the edit and make some music video magic.

Stay tuned!

Testimonial: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Hands down the best part of any film project is our happy clients! We were especially touched with this note from the parents of our latest music video star and Bat Mitzvah girl, Elizabeth.

Before the premiere:
Once again, the 'Team' managed to pull together a wonderful piece of art, that goes beyond the norm! This is really something that Elizabeth will look back on and be proud to show her kids and grandkids (If they still have the old fashion dvd player at that point in time - similar to our vintage Super 8mm films or our old reel to reels)!
After the premiere:
Everyone loved the movie. We really appreciate all your hard work. It was a great event and your hard work was a very important element in making it a success! Thanks again!

Rewind Pictures on Style Me Pretty

We are honored to have one of our films featured on Style Me Pretty today!

Melissa and Bryan were married at the finish line of the Ironman Triathlon this past summer and Rewind Pictures was there to document their love story leading up to the big day! The film premiered the next weekend at their magical celebration at the Bowery Hotel!

We had an absolute blast getting to know Melissa & Bryan and were honored to document this special time for them!

Thank you to some of the most amazing vendors we collaborated with including In Any Event and Tomas Flint Photography.

Hot off the Presses: Bat Mitzvah Music Video!

Rewind Pictures recently had the honor of developing a new and exciting concept for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah film (you know how much we love doing that!). We are really excited with the results and we hope you are too!

To give you a little background, Elizabeth was inspired by Robert Indiana's LOVE sculpture and decided on the theme of "love in the arts" for her big day. A huge film buff and overall lover of all things dramatic and beautiful, we decided to create a film with the message of LOVE. Elizabeth, her friends and family spent a day with us on location in NYC filming the makings of Elizabeth's own music video!!! It was an absolute blast from beginning to end for all.

Highly customizable to your child's own personality and celebration theme, the options are endless. If you are ready to jump on the wagon, we are looking for people who want to create music with us!
