Bat Mitzvah Montage goes Hollywood!

Our newest Bat Mitzvah montage takes you to the movies.

Alongside fabulous event planners Emily & Lisa of Life of The Party Productions, we worked with our Bat Mitzvah mom and daughter to come up with another outside of the Mitzvah Montage box concept.

Bat Mitzvah girl, Amanda, is a big fan of Hollywood movies. Playing on this idea along with incorporating her Bat Mitzvah colors, we created a multi-section montage each headlined with fun clips from her favorite movies.

Researching film clips for this montage had us re-watching some of the funniest family movies of all time. What a blast! So grab your popcorn and pop on the couch for your trip back!

Preserving memories on Memorial Weekend

As the summer unofficially begins and the cameras come out to capture the fun, I am reminded of our struggle to keep up with the technology that is available to us today. It is so easy these days to take high quality digital photos and videos ourselves, but so hard for us to keep up with organizing, preserving and enjoying those images after the record button has been pressed.

The Today Show featured a segment this morning on ways to preserve your memories online. Check it out here and maybe even carve some time out on this long weekend to start organizing!

On Location

Rewind Pictures was on location this past weekend filming our newest wedding couple who will be tying the knot at the finish line of the Ironman Triathlon this July in Lake Placid! ( I know!)

First we interviewed the very much in love couple about their story and their inspiration to get married at the race:

And then we hopped in our car and caught the couple in training action for the race in beautiful Piermont, NY!

We can't wait to start editing their wedding film- a combination love story + wedding film coming late july. Stay tuned!

When that special milestone birthday comes around for a loved one, it's hard to think of the perfect gift.

Another watch or picture frame?

Just doesn't seem to be "special" enough.

Recently, one loving daughter came to us with the idea of making a very special photo montage for her father's 80th birthday celebration in Switzerland. More sentimental and personal than any other gift she could have imagined, the montage celebrates the man and his rich life. We hope this will be treasured by Marcel and his family for generations to come.

The stars aligned in my favor when my husband and I were looking for a wedding planner and found Eyal Tessler and Leslie Price of In Any Event. We knew right away that Eyal and Leslie were the perfect duo to hatch the wedding of our dreams. They are experts in creating flawless events that reflect your personal style. Working together, they are the ying to your yang when helping you dream up your event along with making all of those wedding planning decisions.

It's personal.

I'm taking a short break from unveiling all of our new exciting films to talk about something personal....your wedding.

Although it seems like ages ago that I was planning my own wedding (almost 2 years!), there is one lesson that continues to resonate looking back at my own and when advising new brides today-make it personal!

We all know that wedding planning can be quite overwhelming, especially when moms, future mom-in-laws, bridesmaids, etc... chime in. Everyone wants the best for you on your wedding day, but remember only you know what that is. While brides won't not win every battle against mom, it is imperative to sit down with your fiance and pick one, two or three elements about your wedding that are MOST important to you and make them your own. Maybe it's something that illustrates you and your fiance's journey like the sunflowers he gives you every year for your birthday or maybe it's postcards on each table of all of the places you have been together. For us, a book of recipes including our mom's signature dishes to share with our guests topped our list along with a couple of others including dinner menu items and, of course, our Love Story film.

There are so many decisions to make and so many opinions to keep in mind, but as long as you have those few things that are completely yours, all of the other decisions will be much easier compromised. So go for it, make it personal.
